Chris Oliviero currently serves as an advisor for Entercom Communications, a leading media and entertainment company and the No. 1 creator of live, original, local audio content reaching over 100 million consumers across multiple platforms. In June 2018 Oliviero announced he was stepping down from his role as Executive Vice President of Programming for Entercom leading content development and strategy for the company’s portfolio of news, sports and talk brands.

Prior to joining Entercom as part of the merger with CBS Radio, Oliviero spent 22 years at CBS holding various content and operation roles. In 2006 he was named co-head of the programming department and then in 2013 was named Executive Vice President of Programming overseeing all music and spoken word formats. Oliviero is recognized for playing a pivotal role in the creation of CBS Radio’s best in class sports audio platform including many of the nation’s most successful FM sports properties along with the CBS SPORTS RADIO national syndication network. Additionally, he was instrumental in growing CBS Radio’s award-winning collection of play-by-play partnerships which included marquee franchises like the New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles. Oliviero also led the company’s expansion in marquee live events with We Can Survive, Stars and Strings and The Night Before concert series. Oliviero began his career with CBS Radio in 1996 as an intern for “The Howard Stern Show.”

In 2015, Billboard Magazine named Oliviero to both their “40 Under 40” and “The Power 100” list. He also currently serves as a member of the Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment Advisory Board at the Barclays Center.

Oliviero earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University.
