Nina Hajian is an award winning radio host that is known for her quick wit and honest story telling. She is half Persian, half German/Irish and was raised by both of her parents between three cities; Seattle, Baltimore and New York. Nina grew up in Seattle radio doing everything from hanging banners to cracking the mic on every day part to conducting countless interviews with celebs, musical greats, and community leaders. She also served as Seattle radio’s exclusive red carpet correspondent at major Hollywood events such as The Grammy Awards, American Idol Finales, FOX Premieres, and Teen Choice Awards. After 10 years at KBKS KISS 106.1 in Seattle Nina took her love of music, pop-culture and people on the road to Sacramento California where she Co-Hosted the morning show on KZZO NOW 100.5 for 4 years.
While Nina was in Sacramento she also worked in television as a feature reporter for Good Day Sacramento where she covered everything from earthquakes, to community events and she even shared her own personal journey to freeze her eggs. In addition to her regular gigs she served as a reoccurring guest host on the Nationally Syndicated, "Mark At The Movies" on the REELZ network. It was in Sacramento that Nina got the call she had been working for her whole life and that was to do Morning radio in New York City.
In New York, Nina was the Co-Host of "Shoboy In the Morning" on 92.3 AMP radio and during her time at AMP she was recognized nationally for her work and awarded two Gracies in three years. Gracie Awards recognize broadcasting excellence by women, for women and about women. These awards mean so much because her purpose really is to empower women, especially the young women that are just trying to find their way. 92.3 AMP radio did flip formats which left Nina back on the market to take her voice to a new station. She wasn’t on the market for very long before she got the call from legendary B96 in Chicago. It was an offer she couldn’t refuse.
Now, Nina Co-Hosts the "Drex and Nina" morning show on B96 and she’s so excited to be on this new adventure. The best way to learn a new city is to eat your way through it and that’s exactly what she’s doing! Thankfully, Nina loves to dance which helps make sure she fits into her jeans. Outside of radio, Nina continues to grow her brand across multi-media platforms and directs her efforts towards serving the youth in her community.
