Stephanie Ruhle anchors “MSNBC Live with Stephanie Ruhle” at 9amET and “MSNBC Live with Velshi & Ruhle” at 11amET on weekdays. She is also a correspondent at NBC News. She previously served as anchor and managing editor for Bloomberg Television and editor-at-large for Bloomberg News, where she co-hosted the morning program Bloomberg . Ruhle regularly interviews titans in politics, business, entertainment and sports.
Ruhle has contributed to multiple documentaries including Sharkland: A Mission Blue & Fusion Expedition, The History Channel’s The Making of Trump and Haiti, Open for Business?, which she produced and hosted. Ruhle is known as the first journalist to break the 2012 story of the London Whale, identifying the trader behind the 2012 JP Morgan Chase $2bn trading loss.
Prior to Bloomberg, Ruhle worked at Deutsche Bank, serving as a Managing Director in Global Markets Senior Relationship Management. Ruhle began her career at Credit Suisse, where she was the highest-producing credit derivatives salesperson in the US.
Ruhle received a bachelor’s degree in International Business from Lehigh University, living abroad in Guatemala, Kenya and Italy.
