Joey Tack is Program Director and afternoon host at E.W. Scripps Top 40/Rhythmic WKHT(Hot 104.5)/Knoxville, TN. Raised in the Midwest, Tackís dream of working in radio came to life in 1999 as a part-time board-op and overnight jock for a group of eight radio stations in the Quad Cities (IA/IL) market. This exposure to multiple formats helped to prepare Tack for a career in the business, and his first big break came in 2004 when he was promoted to Music Director/nights at Top 40 WHTS (All Hit 98-9)/Rock Island, IL. In 2005, Tack moved to Knoxville for the MD/nights position at Hot 104.5. Working his way up the chain, Tack was promoted to Program Director in 2014. After his first year of programming, he was awarded the Journal Broadcast Group Presidentís Award for Programming. In 2016, Tack participated in the companyís "Key Talent" program and has since participated in a corporate committee focused on culture an values. Locally, Tack leads the Knoxville Employee Engagement Committee, is a certified brainstorming facilitator, and plays a key role in market strategic planning. Outside of work, Joey Tack loves spending time with his wife, Jhasta, and their two sons, Johnston and Marvin. As a family, the Tacks love visiting Disneyworld, and Dollywood closer to home.
