Kavita Vazirani is Senior Vice President, Media Strategy & Sciences for Comcast Cable in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, she is responsible for driving media strategy and sciences as relates to paid and owned media assets for the nation’s leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services. Managing a multi-million dollar media portfolio, this role encompasses management of all activities related to media planning and buying, driving results through leading people & project teams, and implementing and overseeing media technology programs around advanced advertising to subscribers.

Kavita is also responsible for managing strategic partnerships for broadcast media, cable, entertainment and digital media, and supervises media and traffic operations for Comcast’s National Marketing Interconnect (NMI). NMI, the first of its kind in the cable industry, enables Comcast to leverage its cable cross-channel advertising assets by providing a single point of entry to promote the company’s products and services. Kavita was instrumental in leading the NMI concept development, technical infrastructure, and implementation across the Comcast footprint.

Kavita, who joined Comcast in 1997, has had several accomplishments during her tenure at Comcast. Her list of accolades include being one of the first ever recipients of the CTAM Rainmaker Award (award given to members who have played an essential role in supporting CTAM’s priority of helping the cable business grow), receiving the CTAM Marketing Co-op Team Effort Award, being honored as Ad Age’s 2008 Women to Watch, Graduate of Comcast Executive Leadership Forum and the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. Additionally, in 2012, Kavita was awarded the CableFax “Most Influential Minorities in Cable” honor, as well as OCA’s Asian Pacific American Corporate Achievement Award.

She holds a B.A. in Broadcasting from Columbia College in Chicago, and an M.A. in Professional Communications from La Salle University. Kavita resides in Hatfield, PA with her husband and 3 children.
