Michele Laven is the President of Strategic Partnerships for iHeartMedia. She oversees business development and innovative partnerships across established and emerging sectors to drive revenue and listenership for iHeartMedia as well as drive digital growth and engagement for iHeartRadio, iHeartMediaís digital music, podcast, on demand and live streaming radio service. Key business sectors include automotive, consumer electronics, hospitality, social, wireless, and more.
Under Lavenís leadership, iHeartRadio is now available across more than 250 platforms, including on digital auto dashes, tablets, wearables and smartphones, on virtual assistants, smart speakers, TVs and gaming consoles. Her efforts have helped the all-in-one digital service reach 85% consumer awareness, more than 1.7 billion downloads and 120 million registered users. Laven forged the expansion of the iHeartRadio brand into Canada, and oversees the brandís international relationships with Australia and New Zealand, extending iHeartRadio across the countriesí digital platforms, auto dashes and more.
Laven also creates unique sales strategies and innovative marketing solutions for iHeartMediaís clients and partners. Her team provides guidance and strategy for a variety of clients and integrates iHeartMediaís multiplatform range of assets into comprehensive longstanding partnerships. In addition, they create integrated client solutions, compelling ad sales materials and automated sales tools that enable efficiencies to aid the iHeartMedia sales teams across national and markets to increase revenue for the company. Laven and her team also spearhead account management; deliver client campaign and national event activations; and develop initiatives that leverage iHeartMedia digital capabilities to create campaigns that drive client KPIís and ROI to drive both digital and broadcast revenue growth. Prior to her current role, Laven was the President of Business Development and Partnerships, where she identified and developed compelling strategic alliances and marketing programs for iHeartMedia, enabling the company to reach a larger consumer base. Laven has held several other leadership positions including Executive Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Vice President of Integrated Media for iHeartMedia Los Angeles. Prior to joining iHeartMedia, Laven was President and Chief Operating Officer of New Times Media (currently Village Voice Media).
Laven currently spearheads iHeartMediaís Womenís Initiative Network (WIN) and serves on the Make-A-Wish Corporate Advisory Council. She has been named one of Radio Inkís Most Influential Women in Radio for seven consecutive years, and is a celebrated speaker. Laven was a member of Fresh Start Womenís Foundationís original board and served as a chairwoman for several of its events as well as a board member of Special Olympics, where she campaigned on behalf of its national fundraising efforts. She currently resides in New York City and maintains an active lifestyle through biking and hiking, and enjoys traveling with her husband Rick and three sons Max, Jake and Wyatt.
