Amari Vann is an on-air talent for KVLU (91.3 FM), a public radio station and NPR affiliate broadcasting throughout southeast Texas. Amari host “On Campus at Lamar” a university-based program.
Though Amari is new to the world of radio entertainment she is passionate about the field. On her program “On Campus at Lamar” Amari uses the intersection of entertainment and social activism to connect with local and student listeners. Amari has used her platform to discuss the future of female coders, xenophobia, the ills of the social media era, and other topics that leave an imprint on society.
Amari is currently a senior at Lamar University, pursuing a degree in Corporate Communications with an emphasis in Broadcasting. Amari is also a 2019 Radio Show Student Scholar.
Amari is enthusiastic about using her voice for the enjoyment of others.
